Open-system approach to nonequilibrium quantum thermodynamics at arbitrary coupling

چکیده

We develop a general theory describing the thermodynamical behavior of open quantum systems coupled to thermal baths beyond perturbation theory. Our approach is based on exact time-local master equation for reduced open-system states, and principle minimal dissipation. This leads unique prescription decomposition into Hamiltonian part representing coherent time evolution dissipator dissipation decoherence. Employing this we demonstrate how define work, heat, entropy production, formulate first second laws thermodynamics, establish connection between violations law non-Markovianity.
